Deaf-Hearing Communication Centre (DHCC), a non-profit organization, is governed by a Board of Directors, a majority of whom are deaf or hard of hearing. Our mission is to promote equal communication accessibility and cultural awareness to the Deaf, hard of hearing and hearing populations by providing quality communication services, advocacy and education programs. DHCC is successful because it is a partnership of Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing individuals working to improve communication access.
DHCC's services include: Interpreter Referral, 24-Hour Emergency Service, Community Interpreting Program, Sign Language Classes, Educational Services, Real-TIme Captioning, Advocacy, Information and Referral.
DHCC will be offering various levels of sign language classes starting the last week of September 2008 at E.T. Richardson Middle School in Springfield, PA. Depending on which level you take, classes will be held on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Classes run for a ten-week period and cost between $120-$140 (plus $55 for books).
