I am a professional electrologist and a graduate of the Berkowits School of Electrolysis in Forest Hills, NY. This is one of only 2 nationally accredited schools of the American Electrology Association (AEA).

What is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is when a probe, as thin as a strand of hair, is inserted into the hair follicle and transmits an electrical current. The probe does NOT puncture the skin. The electrical current reacts with the papilla (at the base of the follicle which allows hair growth), permanently destroying the ability for the hair to ever grow back again.

Why choose electrolysis over laser?
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does NOT allow any laser manufacturer to claim that their results are permanent. Electrolysis is the ONLY method allowed by the FDA to claim permanent results. Laser should not be used on all skin types as it can cause damage and scarring to people with dark or tan skin. Laser does not work on grey, blond or red hair. Laser may lighten the color of the hair or reduce the length, but not permanently. (In Forks Township)
